Warn Its Hotels: Hotels are generally grouped in four main categories: commercial or transient hotels; resort hotels; residential hotels; and motels, or motor hotels. In the United States about 75% of the hotel rooms (excluding motels) are in commercial hotels, 16% in resort hotels (both summer and winter seasons), and the remaining 9% in residential hotels. About 80% of the American motel rooms are in commercial establishments and the remainder in resort motels.
You may enter the Seigniory from the Spanish side by car or bus fron Barcelona to Seo de Urgel to Andorra-la-Vella, the little old capital; or yoi may enter, in summer only, by a road over a very lofty mountain pass fron the Pyrenean resort of Ax-les-Thermes, in France, riding "up and over" t< Les Escaldes, which is an Andorran thermal resort only a mile or two fron the capital. Les Escaldes is the place to stay, for natural hot springs warn its hotels, though there are also two hotels at Andorra-la-Vella (the Mer-itxell and the 6-story skyscraper called Pyrenees) and one at Encamp. called the Rosaleda.
Stern Signs in two hotels where I have stayed warn the visitor against black market dealings and beg that any servant offering exchange be immediately reported to the management, but, in my experience, virtually every servant, from the boots up, has eagerly and openly offered black-market liras, with no attempt at concealment and apparently no fear of retribution. What should one do?
